Brenda Benet (August 14, 1945 – April 7, 1982) was an American television and film actress. Benet was a guest star on many of the most popular shows of the 60's and 70's as well as a regular on several the soap operas. Her IMDb.



Benet was briefly married to Paul Petersen (Donna Reed Show) and Bill Bixby. Benet and Bixby and had a son before they divorced in 1979, after 8 years of marriage. Tragedy struck as her only child Christopher died of a rare throat infection in 1981 and a year later..Brenda committed suicide..she was only 36 years old.
