For the May 2012 issue of Allure, five TV stars—Maria Menounos (Extra), Debra Messing (Smash), Taraji P. Henson (Person of Interest), Morena Baccarin (V), and Leslie Bibb (GCB)—stripped down to their birthday suits for a “fashion” shoot called the “Naked Truth.” And the truth is that these five ladies had no good reason to bare all except for the fact that they looked damn good doing it.


“My friends won’t be surprised by this shoot,” the 41-year-old Henson said. “Whenever we go to the beach, I’m like, ‘Is this a nude beach? Can I take my top off?’”


Shot by famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier, the women all opened up about preparing to strip down in the behind-the-scenes video below. “I have some serious issues here,” the 33-year-old Menounos confessed. “But I want to get over that. This [photo shoot] was definitely challenging but I feel so much better having done it.”
Messing, who admitted she needed a little “liquid courage” to take it all off was perhaps the most candid. “Once you have a child, once you pass 40, you have a different relationship with your body,” the 43-year-old Messing declared. “I love my body in a way I never have before. My shoulders, clavicle, and chest…I started out in dance—there’s something beautiful about a dancer’s upper body. I love strapless dresses.”
